Upheaveal

Upheaveal is a physics-based 3D multiplayer party game. Similar to dodgeball, players can use a variety of different objects in their environment to KO their opponents and be the last one standing.

Achievements

  • 4th place at the Game Pitch Challenge for MassDiGi

  • Featured in the showcase for the Game Jam event at Clark University for Playtesting.

  • Selected to be a part of this project as it was being created for the project director’s master’s degree project.

  • The project has been showcased at PAX East 2022 under Clark University

Contributions

  • Customized Button Mapping: Documented get methods, button listener methods, key/button binding methods, and player creation methods across PlayerInput, PlayerInputAction, and PlayerAssigner scripts.

  • Developed Input Systems: Implemented comprehensive input support for Xbox, PlayStation, and keyboard.

  • Contributed to Programming Style Guide: Established standards for variable grouping and spacing.

  • Assisted in Round Manager System Development: Aided in the creation and implementation of the game's round management system.

  • Participated in Game Showcases: Presented the game at FallFest and SpringFest at Clark University.

  • Supported Game Challenge Pitch and Presentation: Contributed to the development of presentation materials for the Game Challenge for MassDiGi

  • Assisted with PAX East Preparation: Supported logistical and presentation aspects for PAX East.
